#MemorialDay in Wisconsin
I spent my first Memorial Day in a new state: Wisconsin! It was a pretty good experience. I spent two days in a cute cottage Northwest of Chicago nestled on Green Lake.
According to locals, I was lucky because the weather was unseasonably warm (it reached 78°F). The lake was too cold for swimming but was warm enough to dip my feet. We went on a boat ride for two hours and read books in the middle of the lake. It’s impossible not to enjoy these precious little moments.
This area of Wisconsin is green and leafy – similar to the areas I saw in Michigan. It offers inspiring places to relax and explore the natural beauty. Two days was too short for me to discover everything but enough to see around the lake and get a first overview. Wisconsin seems great for travelers who love to enjoy the outdoors.
Cécile lives in Chicago though is originally from southern France. She’s an avid traveler and is always excited by new adventures. After living in Ireland, Australia and Canada, Cécile is an advocate of having a routine but not staying comfortable for too long.
