10 Free things to do while you’re visiting Vancouver

Free things to do

A really easy and nice List before to go to the best Canadian city!

Take a stroll through Stanley Park (and the SeaWall!)
Stretching 22 kilometres (13,7 miles) from Coal Harbour and Kitsilano Beach – wrapping around Stanley Park along the way. The Seawall that borders Vancouver’s coastline is wonderful. You’ll take thousand pictures!

Hike the Grouse Grind – The Peak of Vancouver
Be ready! it’s a bit hard! This very popular hiking trail located at Grouse Mountain is 2.9 km (1.3 mi) long with 2,830 stairs. If you think you are up for the challenge, I recommend you spend few hours hiking the Grouse Grind as the views from the top are incredible! You still can take the Skyride (not free).

Visit Granville Island
Stock up on fresh produce, breads, seafood and a bounty of other goods at this great Public market! You also can explore artisan shops for some souvenirs!

Spend a day at the beach
So nice to relax at the beach! Quite beautiful too with the forest all around! My top five beaches are English Bay Beach, Kitsilano Beach, Spanish Banks, Jericho Beach, and the wonderful and pretty quiet Wreck beach!

Visit Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge
This suspension bridge at Lynn Canyon it is free since the Capilano one could maybe be expensive. Lush rainforests, sparkling waterways are amazing and only minutes from downtown Vancouver. Pack your boots and go!

Vancouver Art Gallery on Tuesday nights
If you love art or curious to see what Vancouver museum can bring to you, go to the Vancouver Art Gallery on a Tuesday night from 5pm to 9pm it’s free!

Picnic in the Park
A best way to relax and have a great time with your friends! We went to Whole Foods to buy great and fresh food.

Walk down the Garden Path
A sanctuary in the heart of the city, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Gardenwas the first authentic classical Chinese garden ever built outside of China. A must see!

North Shore Shipyards Night Markets
Only open during the summer, Shipyards Night Market opens, featuring products from local farmers, artisans, foods from around the world and live entertainment! Nice place and easy to get by public transportation!

Take a City Tour with Tour Guys
The tours by Tour Guys are free and really awesome, it’s worth it! However, it’ll be a great idea to tip them since there are free… I hightly recommend this activity! Vancouver won’t be a secret for you anymore!

And you, what do you recommend to do while you’re visiting Vancouver?
