Have you ever seen these cute little floating house in Seattle or Vancouver?
Well, there are more than cute. They are of our future.
Developers should consider very seriously to build « floating » house to combat the risk of flooding, according to the chairman of Environment Agency, Lord Smith.

I often write that traveling will help you to find yourself, to be stronger and to open you mind. I also hope that it will show you the emergency to act for our planet.

Have you been recently in India? U.N Report estimates global population will increase by 1 billion within 15 years.

Still not really interested? More than 4000 Chineese are dying every day because of the air pollution, Washington face a historic wildfire the most destructive…

We all should think: « Enough is Enough ».

Flooding is a natural function of rivers. Sea levels are predicted to rise. There are two types of floating homes, permanently floating homes and homes that float only when flood waters swell, but sit on the ground during the dry season. Requiring the later on new construction within floodplains, and considering same for threatened shorelines, is one way to plan for the future. Although floating homes near the coast need protected waters, wave attenuation through wave walls and dykes (as used in Europe) are a future possibility.

Inaction is costly. So, what are we waiting for? To read more terrible news?

Let’s travel all together and act to protect our beautiful planet for our children.

They will want to see the world too.

And you, how are you acting to help to preserve our planet?
