Best place for a cup of coffee? Soul Kitchen in Montmartre.
If you had to pick a museum? Le Centre Pompidou.
A good restaurant for dinner with friends?
Buvette, Big Fernand (the best burgers in Paris), Mandoobar, Cantine California, or Le Pantruche.
Oh, and for brunch? You know a good one?
I’m obsessed with brunching in Paris – it’s become my weekend sport! It’s difficult to choose just one so here’s a list of my favourites: Le Café Marlette, Le Pain Quotidien, Une Souris et des Hommes, Rose Bakery, Rroll, Soul Kitchen, and Chez Casimir.
What’s the best way to have a full Parisian experience?
Montmartre and the Canal Saint-Martin area always get me and I can never walk past Ladurée without buying a box of macarons. But don’t be afraid to go off the beaten path and get lost in the city’s streets. Paris has so many layers (it’s hard to keep up!) so everyone will have a different experience.
What about grabbing a beer in the streets after work?
Chez Bouboule is a cool bar that opened a few months ago steps away from where I live.
This city is huge! How do you get around?
I love to walk but if my destination is far, I’ll take the metro.
Which neighborhood do you live in?
I live in the 9th arrondissement, which is filled with plenty of hidden gems worth discovering. It’s also a short walk away from Montmartre and great shopping spots (like Les Galeries Lafayette & Printemps).
Your favorite boutiques?
Kusmi Tea, Espace Kiliwatch, Krea99, Antoine et Lili, Le Rocketship, and 3 Par 5.
Where do you go for a bargain?
Tati! It’s my guilty pleasure – and it’s walking distance from my apartment.
Is there a hotel you recommend to your friends?
I’ve never stayed in a hotel here in Paris, but I always recommend renting an apartment on Airbnb when travelling. I’ve been doing so in my travels for a few months now and am hooked.
